STEP 1: ORGANIZING IS HALF THE RENT
A good cook never works in a messy workplace. For some a bit of a far stretch but the for me the same applies to your imagery.
Make sure that everything is well organized before even starting to get into retouching. Even though being a step that might not be the most exciting of all, it does save you hours and hours of searching if you are asked to send over that one image that you shot about a year ago.
So before even getting into the whole process of the manipulation of pictures , I will first and foremost show you my way of keeping all of my images organized in a very simple and foolproof way using software such as Lightroom and a tiny bit of organizational skills. Believe me, you will thank me in the long run.

It is important to fix any background issues you might encounter before working on anything else. Otherwise you would start an image, and fix things here and there in the process and just get lost. Nobody wants that or at least I don’t. So that is why in the first step of this class I am teaching you all the tricks from simply cleaning up a studio background to removing people and objects out of your images. After this step you will be able to start working on an entirely clean surface.
Skin is a huuuge part of what retouching is about. There is a fine line between and enhancing what is already there and carefully remove any blemishes and imperfections and creating a fake mask that just is uncomfortable to look at.
Less is more. I will show you my techniques of how to fix faces without losing all the natural features and balancing the natural feel that healthy skin and hair should have.
THE COLORING BOOK
Photoshop can be your modern day coloring book if you want it to be. Apart from lighting, adjusting colors can play a great part in creating that perfect image that you have in your head. There are hundreds of different techniques of how to achieve several things in images and and it will be up to you to find your approach to it. Let me be your guide and I will show you my go-to’s when it comes to create a strong mood and feel that can make your shot really stand out.
The final step of the process. After having your images organized, backgrounds cleaned, skin looking flawless and pictures a vibrant and srong as you want them to be, what next? You want them to be displayed as best as possible of course! Otherwise all the hard work would be for nothing, right? I will show you how to export your images in the best way for both print and online usage because all that effort needs to be shown in the best way possible!
